AVAILABLE POSITIONS - INDIANAPOLIS:
M.E. Simpson Company, Inc. is looking for Field Technicians for its branch office in Indianapolis, IN, located near the Indianapolis International Airport. These are full-time, hourly positions with benefits, and the possibility for advancement. A Field Technicians’ primary duty is to assist a Project Leader in all aspects of project implementation and completion. This includes the proper usage and maintenance of field-equipment, accurate project record keeping, good customer service skills, and a strict adherence to safety protocol.
Because M.E. Simpson Company, Inc. is awarded contracts all over the country, being able to travel and stay out-of-town is a must. Employees will spend 15 to 30 weeks / year (weekdays mostly) working out-of-town, but will usually be home on the weekends. When travelling, per diem & lodging are taken care of. A work week generally consists of 45 hours, with time-and-a-half over 40 hours. All employees are required to participate in a 24 / 7 on-call rotation, to provide emergency services for our clients. APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS A VALID DRIVERS’ LICENSE WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD (PAST 5 YEARS), AND BE ABLE TO PASS A CERTIFIED DRUG SCREENING!
KSA’s:
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Water and Waste-Water utility operations & maintenance
- Traffic control and safety issues
- Tools and commonly used equipment
- Skills:
- Create and maintain a schedule
- Strong interpersonal & organizational skills related to customer relations
- Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record
- Familiarity with a computer (Excel, Word, e-mail, etc…)
- Abilities:
- Ability to operate large, heavy-duty work vehicles
- Lift at least 75 pounds and perform manual labor
- To travel and work out-of-town
- Respond to emergencies when On-Call
