The Manhole Inspection and Inventory program is designed to collect inspection data of all manholes. M.E. Simpson Co., Inc. will use teams of TWO technicians to inspect your sanitary and/or storm sewer system and manholes for defects. All pertinent information regarding each manhole / catch basin will be gathered. Information such as: direction of flow, depth of invert, measured diameter of inlet and outlet pipes, condition of the manhole / catch basin (determined by visual inspection), and manhole construction material (concrete or brick). Location by street and cross-street names as well as by measurement from existing landmarks is a part of each structure record. Through the inspections we will identify potential areas of Inflow and Infiltration. The manholes will be diagramed and inventoried and the information placed into our Manhole Inspection and Inventory Report so corrective action can be taken. Written documentation shall also be provided so that the Utility will have a complete report of the Project Team’s activity. This will allow a prioritized plan of action to be developed for remediation of the collection system by the Utility. This report can also be placed in our Pro-Manhole™ computer database and delivered to your office to be placed on your computer system.
