Pump Curve Testing

Selected pumps at a treatment plant or pump station can be tested for Pump head and Pump Efficiency. This is accomplished by running the pumps under selected “load” conditions and measuring the input/output pressure and flow velocities. Additionally, any meter located on lines the pumps are on can also be checked for accuracy during this process. All test sites will be pre-inspected to establish test corp locations based on flow characteristics of the pipe near each pump relative to using a pitot rod and differential pressure recorder to measure flow.
